Early Access Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Sonavera platform during the early access period.

Introduction

The platform is in active development and provided on an early access basis.

Early access basis

These terms are between North Star Software Inc., operator of the Sonavera platform, and the organization or person using the platform. In these terms, “Sonavera,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to North Star Software Inc.

The platform is in active development. Features may change, functionality may be limited, and the service may experience interruptions. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Use And Data

Your use of the platform must stay within legitimate verification workflows and applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You may use Sonavera only for legitimate verification purposes in accordance with applicable law. You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

Your Data

You retain ownership of any data you provide or process through the platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights and consents for any data processed through Sonavera. Biometric processing is governed by thePlatform Privacy & Biometric Notice,Biometric Consent Text,Retention and Destruction Policy, andService Provider Disclosure.

OpenAI and ElevenLabs process session media for AI guidance and transcription. They do not perform face or voice identification for Sonavera and do not receive Sonavera’s biometric templates.

Security

You agree to protect your access credentials, report security concerns promptly, and limit platform access to authorized personnel.

Legal Terms

These terms address ownership, liability, termination, and governing law for early access use.

Intellectual Property

Sonavera and its associated intellectual property rights remain our exclusive property. Your use of the platform does not transfer any ownership rights. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the platform without additional compensation or attribution.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sonavera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

Either party may end this agreement with written notice. Upon termination, you will stop using the platform and we will assist with the orderly return or deletion of your data.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform evolves and will notify you of significant changes.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Effective Date

These terms are effective as of the date you first access the platform.
